From May through November, depending on the schedule found here, hitch a ride to Blennerhassett Island via a ferry that will pick you up just blocks away from the hotel. Here you will take a carriage ride, enjoy a mansion tour, hike or bike the wooded trails around the plantation island, visit a unique gift shop and enjoy lunch at Harman’s Landing.
When you return to dry land, visit The Blennerhassett Museum for more context and artifacts behind the stories you just learned about, as well as stories of the Parkersburg region.

You can even find the house of William Chancellor, the man who built The Blennerhassett Hotel, or as it was known at the time, The Hotel Blennerhassett.
